Thoughtfully Written.

Told with Taste.

Somewhere between a notebook and a camera roll, I’m always looking for a good story. I write, photograph, and build brands around the details worth noticing.

Article about me!

(written by me)

My Creative Footprint

A little look at where my work has taken me.

From children’s books and magazine pages to brand worlds, photographs, and ideas that started as scribbles in a notebook, these are the projects that have made their way from my head into the real world.

FreeLance Business Started: October 2025

Kiki Pape LLC

A Detroit girl with a laptop and way too many open tabs. Kiki Pape LLC is where I turn creative chaos into clean copy — writing for brands, building newsletters on Mailchimp, ghostwriting stories, and managing the words that make people stop scrolling.

I also run my own blogs about writing, city life, and the creative mess behind it all. Every project — whether it’s a brand launch or a blog post — is a new way to say something that matters (and sounds good while doing it).

The Detroit PlayBook Series

Not Your Average Fan

What started as early morning tears and frozen fingers at the Thanksgiving game turned into a lifelong love letter to Detroit. Growing up as a season ticket holder, I didn’t always get the hype — the chaos, the cold, the heartbreak. But somewhere between the Fireball shots, Motown hums, and Jared Goff chants, I realized it was never just about football.

It’s about family, loyalty, and showing up — even when it’s freezing, even when we’re losing. This story isn’t just about a team; it’s about a city that loves hard, stands tall, and proves year after year that hope is its own kind of victory.

Events!

Ted Talk X Detroit

Attending TEDxDetroit as a guest felt less like an event and more like stepping into a room where ideas actually have somewhere to go. The kind of space where people speak in conviction, not volume, and you leave thinking differently than when you walked in. It sharpened my instinct for storytelling that carries weight, not just noise, and reminded me that the right rooms don’t just inspire you, they quietly expect something from you too.

Events!

Lululemon Holiday Fashion Show

Attending the Lululemon Rochester holiday event as a content creator meant moving with intention—capturing the in-between moments, the energy, the feeling people don’t always know how to articulate.

It wasn’t just about documenting a night; it was about translating a brand experience into something that lives beyond it. The kind of work where you’re both in the moment and slightly outside of it, already shaping the story as it unfolds.

New role as a writer

Writer for Rochester City Lifestyle

Writing for Rochester City Lifestyle gives me a place to turn curiosity into stories that feel personal, thoughtful, and true to the people behind them.

I love getting to step into someone else’s world, ask the right questions, and find the details that make their story feel alive. As part of the Style Edition, I get to bring my own voice into the mix while continuing to grow as a writer and storyteller.

My Personality Outside of Google Docs...Check out more on my LinkedIn!

When I’m not writing, I’m usually chasing something that makes me feel alive — snowboarding down the mountains in Colorado, running events with Detroit Promotions, or helping build brands through Tech Stak. I love attending writers’ workshops, taking photos that capture the in-between moments, and saying yes to anything that feels like a story in motion.
